Move faster: are you creating the life you want or is life creating you?

There’s a big difference between actually creating the life you want and reacting to what life throws your way. When you stop and really take a good look at your world. Do you see a life of exciting and endless possibilities, or is it more like a path of broken dreams?

You may find it hard to believe, but you and only you have the ability to make your life a paradise. Life can offer you endless choices or continuous obstacles that stop you wherever you go.

If you are reading this article, it is possible that you are looking for that path that will lead you to fulfill all your dreams. The ones you see other people create, but can’t seem to get there. Maybe you’ve been there, but you just can’t seem to stay there.

The most important thing to know about creating the life you want is that you have that ability and you always will. There is no need to search for this ability or think that it is out of your reach. All you have to do is recognize it within yourself.

negative thinking

Let’s see the first thoughts you had this morning. What did you think when you woke up? Do you know what your first thought was? Really stop here for a minute and think back to that first thought. Was it “I feel tired”? or “It’s a beautiful day!” Let’s say you had the thought, “I feel tired.” That thought leads to the next thought: “Why am I getting up so early? I should be sleeping.” And the next thought may be: “I can’t believe I have to go back to work.”

The other side of that thought.

Now let’s try the other side. You’re the person who woke up saying, “It’s a beautiful day!” Your next thought may be. “I’m excited to get up and going.” “I have so many new ideas that I can’t wait to get to the office or start my job so I can implement them.”

This is where the creation begins. It’s noticing what you’re really telling yourself that’s important here. Right now, at this early point, it doesn’t really matter what you’re saying, just that you know what you’re saying.

If you are not aware of what you are saying to yourself, you may wonder why some days are good and others are not. You are basically letting the day control you. You are not the one creating, you are reacting.

If you start the day by saying something negative, it is very likely that it will get out of hand. Even if it’s something small like I have to clean my house, it’s a mess.

Once this thought pattern starts to get going, it moves away from you.

“I barely have time to brush my teeth, how am I supposed to clean the house?” … well, if you made more money, you could hire a maid “… etc.

Chances are, you don’t even know that you’re having these kinds of thoughts, let alone that you’re creating a huge avalanche and are now running away with your day, just downhill.

self awareness

An important factor is self-awareness!

Over the next two days, start noticing what you say to yourself, not just in the morning but throughout the day. When I first tried this exorcism, I was shocked to discover all the things I was saying to myself throughout the day. No wonder I was down, I was being so hard on myself that I felt like packing it up around noon!

When you’re creating, you need to know what needs to be adjusted. The first thing I did was just realize what I was saying to myself all day, like I was a bystander just watching.

I found that when I made a mistake I wanted to go over, “how could I do that?” “Didn’t know that would happen?” I even had the nerve to tell myself, “I told you not to do that.” It was really crazy.

This would take too long. I thought I didn’t hear myself the first time? Apparently not, he wanted to continue this tirade until he was absolutely sure that it would never happen again. By the way, that is extremely tiring.

This constant harassment would be enough to put anyone in a bad mood. As he paid more attention to what he was saying, I realized that the tone he used towards himself was rude and it seemed like he was yelling a lot. I wouldn’t dream of talking to a friend like that, so why was he talking to myself this way?

“Why do I talk to myself like that?

That’s a great question, “Why do I talk to myself this way?” Now that he was aware of what was going on, I was able to change it.

Most people are aware that they have this voice within them, whether they call it their critical parent, their Gremlin, or their ego, they are aware of this voice. Every once in a while I have a client who doesn’t realize what he’s saying to himself at all. However, they are either very hard on themselves or view the world through mud-colored glasses. That’s a sign that your inner critic is talking and not saying how wonderful you are.

One suggestion here is when you first listen to your inner critic and it’s telling you something negative, right then and there, at the first thought, stop and say… “No judgment.” Don’t let this dialogue continue.

If it goes on too long, and usually five or six thoughts is too long, you are now caught up in the emotion of negative self-talk. It’s harder to get back from that place than if you never let it take you there at first. This requires your full attention.

By paying attention, you can catch critical self-talk early on.

Start first thing in the morning creating your day

Morning is the most important time to start creating your day, with the thoughts that inspire and motivate you. Don’t wait for something like this to happen that you can set the tone for your day. You set the tone for your day!
If you burned the toast and say, “It’s going to be that kind of day,” you’re right, it will be “that kind of day.” Instead, if you started the morning with positive thoughts and actions, even if the toast burns, you won’t think of it as anything else, then, the toast burned, I need to put another piece of bread.

Great ways to start the day.

If you’re not a morning person and wake up in a less than happy mood, I understand that I used to feel that way sometimes. Now morning is my favorite time. I’m so excited to get up every day that I can’t wait. The sooner the better! I love how quiet and peaceful it is. I can easily adapt to my meditation and reading before starting the day.

I know how important it is to start the day off right. If I felt depressed when I woke up, I would do something that made me laugh. Kind of silly, but it made me laugh, which releases positive endorphins that send signals to your brain that make you feel good.

The wake up call

I am going to share with you what I used to do. Don’t laugh, just try to imagine this. Okay, you can laugh… Ji would start low and build up to a loud scream and at the top of my lungs I’d say “I did this so seriously and loudly I’d crack up every time. And let me tell you if anyone else was around and heard this…they started laughing too and before you know it…I feel good, they feel good, everything is fine!”

Another great way to start creating the day is to put on upbeat music. You know the music that really makes you want to dance. This should be music that makes you feel great to be alive. It is the perfect music for the morning.

If you feel like dancing and singing, do it. Right there, in the bedroom or bathroom, start dancing and moving to the beat of the music. Be silly and really let yourself go.

This will not only lift your mood and release positive endorphins, but it can also be entertaining for anyone else who sees it.

You can start applying these concepts… today!

They are creating the energy and glow that will start your day off on the right track.

I love to start my day by reading a part of what I call my morning books. They are always, always, always… positive, spiritual and uplifting books. The kind that really gets you moving. When I read them, all the other sentences that come out of my mouth are “of course”, “I knew that!”. “I love it!”, “exactly”, those kinds of books.

I can’t tell you how important that is when you’re creating the life you want. Part of the creative process is having a great foundation to build on. What you hear, read and see every day sets the tone for what you will experience.

By taking the creative stance, you are in charge of what goes on in your mind. If you are starting your day listening to the news and it is about war, violence, the next tragedy, who is the thinnest, who is the cutest and who is going to jail now and for how long etc. That will affect you, and most likely in a less than positive way.

On the other hand, when you listen to uplifting music, you read books that encourage and inspire you. You have a funny saying that makes you laugh. You are paying attention to what you are saying to yourself and replacing the negative thought with a positive one. Just imagine what kind of day you are going to have. You are singing and dancing with all that positive energy.

You will have a fantastic day!

I can hear you asking “what about the next day?” You start all over again.

These are the first four steps to creating the life you want. Really take the time to implement these steps. If you don’t have the kind of music that inspires you, get some. If you don’t have the books that make you want to conquer the world, find them. If you don’t know what to say to start the day with a laugh, borrow my saying… it really works.

GOOD MOORING VEEEEITNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!! I’m laughing as I write this. 🙂
