WoW Druids Guide – The True Defenders of Nature

Druids are a great class to play in WoW. First of all, druids are equipped with several great powers that can be used in different ways. Druids are also a hybrid class, also known as “shapeshifters” and can fill almost any role in the game, be it a spellcasting damage dealer, melee damage dealer, tank, or even a healer.

A minor drawback to Druid is that it can only be played by 4 of the available races; night elves, worgens, taurens and trolls.

Druids possess the ability to transform into a bear or dire bear which, when deployed, will increase both the hit points and armor of the druids, as well as giving them some pretty interesting tanking abilities. The druid will acquire various abilities throughout the game that will allow him to create a large number of threats.

Druids are also capable of dealing high amounts of damage, especially when compared to a warrior tank.

In addition to taking the form of a bear and dire bear, the druid also has the ability to take the form of a cat. Depending on his race, it will make a slight difference in the form he takes, for example a Tauren will take the form of a lion and the Night Elf a panther.

Cat form is special in that druid attacks can be used with energy and will take some decent damage abilities. Druid doesn’t just fall into the melee category! They are capable of casting great spells using arcane and nature-based spells.

As you can see, the Druid class can fill any role, but what makes them even more unique is the fact that they can be very effective in Melee or Caster DPS or Healer. The Feral tree will pave the way for a high-impact druid who can rack up combos with some nifty finishing moves.

The Balance tree offers a completely different build and will focus on the spell damage dealing abilities of druids. This talent tree also offers the Moonkin and Enhanced Moonkin, allowing the druid to transform into the Moonkin.

The moonkin form looks cool but more importantly it gives the druid some really cool boosts like; Bonus spell critical hit, armor, haste rating, and additional spell power. Some of the bonuses available in the form of Moonkin can also be beneficial and apply to party members, making Moonkin a useful perk for parties and raids.

Although I haven’t done a restoration druid build to evaluate for the purpose of this druid guide, I do know that restoration druids are great healers and have the most hot spells available compared to any other class. Restoration druids focus primarily on healing and therefore should acquire most of the talents available in the Restoration talent tree.

There is a point in the game where the Restoration Druid will be able to choose a form called the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life form allows the druid to grant a bonus to all heals done on targets or even in a group raid.

Druids HoT spells can be cast at a reduced cost, while the power of their healing spells will increase when they take the form of the Tree of Life. In addition, they will acquire additional armor.

In general, the Druid class is very versatile and one of the great advantages of playing Druid is that you can switch between builds without too much difficulty.
