Using a law school admissions calculator is not completely foolproof. No scientific math equation can take into account the human factor of a manager, but these calculators have been proven right 95% of the time.

The calculation only takes into account your LSAT score and your GPA. No other factor can and will not be taken into account. When you enter these two numbers, a list of schools approved by the American Bar Association will appear.

There are different calculators available on the web with different ways of representing the results. Most will show you their position vis-à-vis those already enrolled in a particular school. They can be illustrated graphically or in numerical form. If you don’t like the results of one, try another.

Tests have been done on the numbers that were imputed, and for whatever reason the results for each site varied slightly. With the figures of 170 for the LSAT and the GPA at 3.75, it could surely be accepted according to one calculator, while others show only a good possibility.

So don’t be discouraged if the calculator doesn’t give you the result you want. Try more than one and average all the results. Above all, remember that this is only 95% accurate. If you are close to being in the bubble, your personal statement along with your letters of recommendation could still help you get accepted.

The law school admissions calculator is just a guess, but a good estimate if you will be accepted into the law school of your choice.
